Sameen is a Consultant at the International Civil Society Action Network (ICAN). She is responsible for animating ICAN’s online platforms and developing digital advocacy campaigns to amplify the organization’s programs, She Builds Peace campaign, publications, external engagements, and WASL partners’ work. She also assists in coordinating ICAN’s multimedia training program for women peacebuilders, producing interviews, and supporting digital events.
Sameen holds an M.S. in Global Affairs with a specialization in Peacebuilding from New York University, and a B.A. in Peace, Conflict and Justice from the University of Toronto. As a graduate student, she worked as a Consultant with the UN CTED, and the Ugandan-based African Youth Initiative Network. Before joining ICAN, she was also the Editor-in-Chief of NYU’s Global Affairs Review and the Program & Communications Coordinator at the Samara Centre for Democracy in Toronto.
