Rawafed launched the She Builds Peace campaign in order to create a space for women peacebuilders to reflect on their civic activism in society. The campaign focused on UNSC Resolution 1325 and its practical ability to support Syrian women. It highlighted local experiences of women peacebuilders in the field of civil work and women’s rights from the ground situation in Syria. The campaign targeted women from various age groups and work areas, and who had previously participated in the activities led by Rawafed in Kafr Takharim.
Outcomes and Impacts:
- Women peacebuilders increased their knowledge of implementation of UNSC Resolution 1325 and discussed practical efforts to support the campaign in their fields of work, family and community surroundings.
- Women peacebuilders exchanged experiences and shared success stories at the local, regional and international levels.
