Sarah Windham is the Operations Officer at the International Civil Society Action Network (ICAN). With five years of experience in operations at organizations in the corporate, education charity and human rights funding fields, Sarah provides operational and human resources support for the ICAN team and is based in Washington D.C.
Sarah’s interest in supporting peacebuilding began when she was asked to present her work on the Global Women’s Narrative’s Project at the World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in Bogotà in 2017. Most recently, Sarah provided operational support and structures to The Sigrid Rausing Trust, a grant giving trust working across human rights, fairness, inclusion, and the environment. Prior to that, Sarah worked at To Educate All Children (TEACH), where she was responsible for organizing an annual training on classroom management skills for more than 100 teachers at struggling public schools in the Houston, Texas area, as well as building policies in all areas of work.
Sarah holds a master’s degree with Distinction in Conflict Resolution in Divided Societies from King’s College London and a bachelor’s degree in Religion from the University of Southern California.
