Join the Alliance for Peacebuilding for a discussion on the implications of Taliban control of and the withdrawal of U.S. and allied military forces from Afghanistan on Afghan women, girls, and their families. The event will explore the challenges involved in recent evacuation efforts, how women were disproportionately marginalized from evacuation and various immigration pathways, what is at stake for Afghan women and girls that remain in Afghanistan, and how the international community can support and help preserve their tremendous gains over the last 20 years.
