The ICAN team seeks a highly motivated Program Intern to work on a range of research, coordination and program tasks. The Program Intern will support ICAN’s Better Peace Initiative program. This virtual internship may be part or full time and will run from August through December 2023 (dates can be negotiated). Program interns benefit from attending educational events and learning from the diverse experiences of the ICAN team.
ICAN is pleased to share the summary of key findings of a four-year independent evaluation (December 2018 – December 2022) conducted by Merits Partnership on behalf of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
This summary highlights ICAN added value to local women-led peacebuilding organizations, international organizations including funders, as well as to the wider Women, Peace and Security (WPS) and Preventing Violent extremism (PVE) agendas.
ICAN’s Better Peace Initiative (BPI) guidance document, 10 Steps to Ensure a Gender-Responsive and Inclusive Constitution-Drafting Process is now available in Farsi/ Persian! ICAN’s guidance, including our “10 pointers” are developed with the intention to inform a variety of stakeholders in their peacebuilding advocacy and practice. Governments, international organizations, women peacebuilders and other civil society all benefit from these to-the-point materials that focus on the “how to” aspects of inclusive peacemaking.
