ICAN supports our partners’ sustainability and capacity by providing ongoing technical and strategic guidance, accompaniment (advisory support), trainings, and peer-to-peer learning tailored to their distinct needs.

Unlike most other funders, ICAN offers its WASL network partners a holistic ‘package’ of support.

Thematic Guidance 

Practical guidance and innovative multi-media tools on how to ensure gendered and inclusive peacemaking, for example deradicalization from extremism, ceasefire negotiations, community policing, constitution drafting, and transitional justice. 

Accompaniment

Strategic and technical advisory services to women peacebuilders to engage effectively in real-time peace processes. 

Organizational Capacity Building

Training on technical subjects including proposal and report writing, monitoring and evaluation, budgeting, communications, digital security, self-care, and other areas identified by partners.

Peer-to-Peer Learning

Group trainings and peer-to-peer exchanges to facilitate the sharing of strategies and experiences and to deepen solidarities across countries between grassroots, national civil society actors, and regional and international activists/organizations.
