How do we make peace sustainable?
When civil society, especially women, are included meaningfully in peace negotiations and peacebuilding, peace is more sustainable.
Recognizing the gendered impact of conflict, it is common sense that issues addressed in peace and security processes—from ceasefires to humanitarian aid, governance, and transitional justice—should be gender responsive.
ICAN offers strategic advice, accompaniment, and practical guidance on how to ensure inclusive and gender responsive peace processes. This includes animations, discussion guides, and trainings in multiple languages and for different audiences.

ICAN pushes boundaries to enable women peacebuilders’ expertise, trust, and deep knowledge of their communities to reach the echelons of power.
