ICAN’s Sanam Naraghi Anderlini Appointed Director of LSE Centre for Women, Peace & Security

The ICAN board proudly congratulates ICAN’s CEO and Founder, Sanam Naraghi Anderlini for joining the LSE Centre for Women, Peace and Security (LSE WPS) as part time director from December 2019.

Ms.Naraghi Anderlini has built ICAN into a strong organization with an excellent and pioneering program of work and global network among the Women’s Alliance for Security Leadership (WASL).  From the outset she envisioned ICAN as a collaborative organization with extended reach and partnerships across other sectors including governmental and multilateral institutions and academia.  We are delighted that Ms. Naraghi Anderlini will be sharing her considerable experience, talent and energy with LSE to further strengthen the linkages between scholarship, policy and practice, so that the full promise and potential of the women, peace and security agenda can be realized globally, and support the decision wholeheartedly.  She will continue to serve as ICAN’s CEO in a part time capacity, supported by an extraordinary team of program directors and staff.

We believe this is an important step for our community. We look forward to all the possibilities that this joint appointment may bring.
