About the Organization

The Center for Advocacy in Gender Equality and Action for Development (CAGEAD) is a women-led, nonprofit, grassroots organization founded in 2007 and based in Cameroon. Led by Clotilda Andiensa, CAGEAD’s mission is to empower women and youth by developing skills to promote community development, economic security, and health and wellbeing. CAGEAD works to localize UNSCR 1325 by creating networks of community peace clubs.

ICAN’s Innovative Peace Fund has supported CAGEAD since 2019 and has provided project development, financial management, and security trainings.
