Women for Development NGO

Women for Development NGO launched the She Builds Peace campaign in Armenia in September 2020 with a workshop for 32 youth from several communities. 

Participants learned about UN Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1325 and the wider Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda, including the role of women in conflict prevention and ensuring peace and security.  They also explored how conflict affects men and women differently. 

During the workshop participants discussed the She Builds Peace campaign and Armenia’s 2019 – 2021 National Action Plan (NAP) for the implementation of UNSCR 1325.
